Pat Eaton

Pat Eaton grew up in Rancho Santa Margarita and is a Balboa Bay Alumni. He competed at Santa Margarita High School and collegiality at Irvine Valley College. Pat would return to coach at Santa Margarita from 2005 through 2009. He would eventually join legendary Balboa coach Rich Polk in 2010 at Tesoro High School.

Eric Vallely

Vallely joins OCVBC, former UCLA player,  Balboa Bay Volleyball Club,  and Newport Harbor High School. 
Vallely's playing careeer led him to be a member of the UCLA Men's Volleyball team from 1994-1998, twice winning the NCAA National Championship. Prior to that, he spent four years as a varsity player at Newport Harbor High School and six years as a member of the Balboa Bay Volleyball Club.
While at UCLA, he was the setting coach for Michah Ma'a who went on to become a first team NCAA All-American and reached the NCAA Championship Game in 2018. His time at Balboa Bay Volleyball Club has seen him coach 13 & under, 14 & under, 15 & under, and 18 & under teams including winning a Gold Medal in 2018. Over at Newport Harbor, he serves as the head coach for both boy's and girl's junior varsity and is the assistant coach for both genders at the varsity level. 
Away from volleyball, Vallely has been a professional surfer and a United States Golf Association scratch golfer, qualifying for the 2004 US Open Regional. He is a USA Volleyball IMPACT Certified coach as well as being USOC SafeSport Certified.

Andrew Mabry

Andrew Mabry has been coaching for Orange County Volleyball Club and Balboa Bay since 2006.  Andrew has worked with many different age groups and in many different roles throughout his career.  He has been a part of a number of coaching staffs that have earned high finishes and medal winning moments at the USA Volleyball Junior Nationals, Qualifier Tournaments, the Volleyball Festival and many other fantastic memories.


Andrew currently is on the girls and boys volleyball staff at Newport Harbor High School where he is a History Teacher.  Prior to coming to Newport Harbor, Andrew was the Head Girls Volleyball Coach at Orange Lutheran where his team competed in the prestigious Trinity League.  During his tenure, Orange Lutheran won the 2013 Trinity League Championship as well as the 2017 CIF Division 2 Championship and sent many players on to play collegiate volleyball.  Andrew was named the 2017 CIF Division 2 Coach of the Year as well as the 2017 Orange County Coach of the Year.  Andrew has also previously been named a CIF 'Coach With Character'.  

Andrew is a proud Balboa Bay and Edison High School Alum.  Andrew played volleyball at Irvine Valley College and was a part of the 2008 State Championship team. 

Andrew is married to his wife Taylor and they have two daughters, Riley (5) and Payton (4).

​Matt Skolnik

Matt Skolnik has been with Balboa for over 10 years, contributing as both an Assistant and Head Coach. 

Matt stays busy year round, Head Coaching Boys And Girls at Edison High School, earning OC Register Coach of the Year Honors in 2016, and coaching Orange County girls

Ryan Windisch

​Windisch spent the 2018 season as the head coach for the Golden West men's volleyball team. He was an assistant coach on the Irvine Valley women's volleyball team in the fall of 2017 and part of helping guide the squad to a perfect 27-0 record, Orange Empire Conference title and the second CCCAA State Championship in program history.
Windisch also served as assistant coach and statistical/video coordinator for the 2017 Long Beach State Men’s Volleyball program.
In 2017, he completed his Sports Management/Kinesiology degree at Long Beach State. 
During his time both playing and coaching at Long Beach State and Irvine Valley, he studied under the guidance of highly regarded coaches such as Alan Knipe (USA Men’s National Team coach for the 2012 Olympics), Tom Pestolesi, Tyler Hildebrand (Men’s Beach Volleyball coach for 2016 Olympic) and Andy Read.
Throughout his career, Windisch has held numerous head and assistant coaching positions in boys and girls high school and club programs since 2011, including Long Beach Volleyball Club; Servite High School, Balboa Bay Volleyball Club, Saddleback Volleyball Club, Rosary High School and Cornelia Connelly High School.
His playing career is also extensive and continuing.
He played at Long Beach State 2012-2015 with and served as the starting libero in 2015.
During his Long Beach State tenure, the team earned bids each year to the MPSF conference tournament, including beating the eventual national champion UC Irvine in the semifinals of the 2013 tournament.
Prior to Long Beach State, he played one season (2011-12) at Irvine Valley and was one of the team's leaders in digs. He was instrumental in the team making an unexpected playoff run.
Windisch played club volleyball at Highline Volleyball Club winning a Bronze Medal in the 18s Open Division at the 2011 USA Volleyball Junior Nationals. He played high school volleyball at Servite High School and helped build what is now one of the top high school programs in California. Ryan is also an accomplished beach volleyball player. 
He was selected to the USA Volleyball Elite Development Program and has played throughout the U.S. in numerous professional tournaments. Windisch currently plays on the Blizzard Professional Indoor team and continues to play beach and indoor in domestic professional level tournaments.

Bailey Humes

Bailey joins us for her 4th year with OCVBC. She brings 6 years of coaching experience in addition to her many years of playing experience. Bailey competed for both the Beach and Indoor teams at the College of Charleston where she graduated with a Bachelor’s in Psychology. In her senior season the indoor team won the CAA conference title for the 14th straight year. Before Charleston she competed for two seasons at American River College where she received All-Conference awards twice, as well as All-State in her Freshman season as a setter.
